RAAF family day

On Saturday, we went to the RAAF family day. It was really cool.
All of us went, and we were going to take a friend, but he had things on. First of all, when we arrived, we had to get visitor passes and then went into the base.
We tried out a C130 Hercules H simulator, which was great fun. When I flew, Jonathon was my co-pilot (holding me back from flying really low!) and we flew under Sydney Harbour Bridge. Thomas and Luke, his co-pilot, also flew under the bridge but they crashed afterwards, trying to land.
It was also really funny, because we couldn't put the landing gear up, as an alarm went off!!! So instead, we flew with the landing gear down.
After that, we had sausages and drinks, and then went on a Hercules H for a flight around the Blue Mountains. It was a fairly low flight, but the plane was really noisy!
We met some friends who had come, and then we went home.
It was really great fun. especially the simulator!

A Book Report
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
By J.R.R tolkien
The lord of the Rings trilogy is (as you most likely know) a fantasy adventure about the Fellowship of the Ring as they try to destroy the One Ring of Sauron, and they end up fighting in massive seiges and battles for the realms of Rohan and Gondor.
The reason I chose the book (this is about the third time I've read the trilogy) is because it is the 'starting point' of modern fantasy and I also love the detail put in the world and in the various maps that Tolkien drew.
It's for this reason that when I've read this book, I'm going to read the History of Middle-earth 12 book series.

Update On My Days
My three older brothers have come over for Christmas. Luke and Greg arrived on the 1st of December but Nick arrived on the 22nd.
We went to archery, which was really fun. I almost always hit the target but I kept hitting the sides of the target without getting in any of the rings.
We were going to go surfing but Manly beach was closed because of an unsafe rift, so we went down to DY beach and went swimming.
For Christmas, I got an Asterix book, the Dangerous Book for Boys, some chocolates, and a Nintendo Wii, which is a fairly new console (but this is a shared presents between all of my brothers). We got two games: Super Mario Galaxy and Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire. Thomas also bought Red Steel and Nick bought Medal of Honour: Vanguard.
And that is pretty much all that I have done so far.

What We Have Done

on Saturday, we went and bought some summer clothes and looked at Castle Towers, which is a big shopping centre near us.
I bought a box of Lord of the Rings miniatures, which I have been painting. Mum and i decided on mainly white bather-shorts, black shorts, a red T-shirt and a black T-shirt.
Before this, we went to a Garden Mass, which was nice.
Yesterday, while painting my miniatures, I had a paint accident and spilt some on my black shorts, which, thankfully, are clean now. Yesterday, we went for a family walk, but Jonothan couldn't come, sadly.
Today, we are staying at home until we go to Kumon.
Friday, we went to archery, had lunch at a shopping centre and then went home. Thomas and I had music lessons and then Thomas, Jonothan and Alexander went to Youth Gruop.
That is pretty much what has been happening this weekend.

Pirates of the Carribean 3
Last night, Jonathon, Alexander, Thomas, the youth leaders and I went to see Pirates of the Carribean 3. It was better than number two but number one was MUCH better to me.
It didn't have a very satisfiying ending but it had a very amusing part where Jack Sparrow was in Davy Jones Locker and he had imagined a crew of lots of him on the Black Pearl. It was quite funny.
After the movie, which ended (not including the credits) twenty minutes earlier than it planned to, we went to McDonald's and had some ice cream.

MORE STUFF
Thomas and I are starting to collect Warhammer, a fantasy miniatures game. Thomas is either going to collect Bretonnians(Knights, etc.), Lizardmen or Wood Elves.
I have started to make a scale 1:47 WW2 plane with Dad's help.
Mum has employed me at Kumon to fold the newsletters, sort information packs, etc. for $20 a month(although right now I'm paying Mum back).
I bought Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy. Lego Star Wars is a funny Lego computer game of Star Wars. Thomas bought Lego Star Wars 1 except it now has a lot of scratches so we can't play it.
I also got some other games: Warhammer 40,000(Warhammer 40k, it's Warhammer sci-fi basically)Dawn of War(strategy) and Tau Fire Warrior(FPS, ot first person shooter).

YESTERDAY
Hello! In the morning, yesterday, we went swimming in the RAAF pool, it was quite cool. Their was quite a few people there, but they had mainly toddlers, etc. so they just hung around the toddler pool.
After that, we went home and played Death Match Medal of Honour, which was very fun.
At around 4:00 Jonathon and Alexander went to the Youth Band practice. We then went to mass.
Afterwards, Jonathon and Alexander went to dinner at some friends of ours, the Griffons, while we had Nachos, Chinese, Indian, etc. We began watching a movie called Star Command, but it was pretty stupid, especially since these two guys were arguing, so rather than just leaving it, they got into a punch up!
After that, we just went to bed.
That was our Sunday!

CHARLOTTE'S BIRTHDAY
Hello!
Today, we went to a baby's birthday. She is called Charlotte.
I think it was Thursday, she turned One. She is really cute!
When she was near the cake, she reached out and started to eat without anyone! Once, she even crawlled inside the jumping castle and sat down and started to suck on a ball, by the way, she can't walk yet.

STUFF
Hello!
We are writing books for schoolwork, last year I wrote a guidebook, the year befor that I wrote a fantasy book and right now I am writing a book about a made up world of mine.
On Sunday, we got the video card which we needed to play the game that Thomas and I bought.
The game is very cool and quite realistic.
Tomorrow, we are going to have a surfing lesson, it is our third for this term. At the begining of this year we had quite a lot of surfing lessons, so were only having four this term.
Thomas and I fold and deliver the local newspaper on Tuesday, Jonathon and Alexander go to work and mum does some work too.

STUFF WE HAVE DONE AND ARE DOING

Hello!
Last Saturday we bought the Doctor Who annual, it is really cool !
It's got two comics, some info on the Daleks, etc and it had this cool quiz where it compared you to the companions - I was 3/4 Captain Jack and 1/4 Sarah Jane Smith.
Thomas was entirely Captain Jack.
Dad was entirely Rose.
Mum was half Captain Jack, half Mickey.
Jonathon and Alexander were Captain Jack.
And - Thomas and I bought a really cool computer game - but we need a better graphics card - which is very annoying!

Hello again!

Hello all!
It has been a while since I last posted.
Thomas' arm is getting much better; he even went ice skating today.
Last Friday I finally got a game that I had ordered on the 14th of July from MILSIMS {Military Simulations}.
As you can imagine, I was quite happy to get it.
Several days ago Dad and Jonathon picked up two hard drives and a monitor that someone had put in their rubbish collection, one of the hard drives and monitor didn’t work so Dad put them back.
And here is a picture from the Python Show that we went to. This is an albino python from Thailand.

EVERYTHING.
Hello, ~ on Sunday Thomas fell of his bike and broke his arm.
It's really funny, all the cat books say that when someone is sad or, like Thomas, has a broken arm, the cat will snuggle up to the person and try to make him/her feel better. With Belle, she just ignores Thomas!
Before Thomas broke his arm, we had a great bike ride across a bushy area, under a tunnel where you go really fast, across a bridge, up a hill and then across a vacant spot with grass. Mum and Dad were walking and we were riding.
When we visited Thomas in hospital he was in a room with a TV and some books around the place. A very cool hospital.
On Monday, Dad and I had to buy Thomas Subway for lunch because they didn't pick up Thomas's menu order in time at the hospital. This meant that they gave him sandwiches instead even though the menu had sausages.
The sandwiches were egg and avocado or ham, tomato with very thickly spread butter. This sounds disgusting. Thomas just does not eat those things.
He ate a bit of the Subway lunch but really doesn't feel like eating much, because of his medications.
Hope he is better soon!

About Me.
Hello, I am Anthony, I just turned eleven years old this week!
I like Skateboarding, Surfing, reading, Bike riding, playing the Piano and I also like Warhammer 40,000.
I live in a hills suburb of Sydney. Before we moved here last year, we lived in Adelaide and before that we lived in Western Australia.
I have a newspaper round and I get paid about $30.00 every month.
I have six older brothers, three of whom still live in Adelaide. But they come here for visits and last year I and two other brothers went to stay in Adelaide for a week.
Hope to chat more on the blog!
